Dor beetle

Natural history: There are around 4000 beetle species in the UK and they come in many different shapes and colours including ladybirds and the dor beetles. Dor beetles are a type of dung beetle which means they eat poo!  

Observation Tips: Dor beetles are round and dark. Their heads look like shovels.
