Scientific name: Harmonia axyridis
Appearance: Variable appearance with different body and spot colours and spot numbers. Can be black with red spots or red with black spots. Look out for a white triangle on its head. May also have an M shape behind the head.
Size: 8-10 mm
Natural History: A non-native ladybird first spotted in the UK in the 2000s which is now one of the most common species. Eats aphids and ladybird eggs.
