On this website you can learn about mammals. You can upload image sequences from camera traps, view sequences and classify the animals you spot there. 

Here we suggest how you can start to use the site, where you can find out more information and ways to practise your skills.

In the species guide you can view an image and description of each animal.

You could choose a few common species, such as badger, red fox, grey squirrel and roe deer to learn first, or look at the different deer species.

From Contribute > Spotter choose Classify All and have a look at some image sequences. Click on the species to classify.

How to classify

On the Spotter tab you can see a few statistics (these are updated overnight) and the different Classify options. You could select a project to classify.

When you click on the species, you are shown an image and information about the animal, so you can check your choice before saving.
